A dearth of vaccines in Darfur puts children at risk

The ongoing conflict in Sudan, now reaching its seventh month, has severely curtailed medical access for Darfur residents –including children who cannot acquire life-saving vaccines. In some cases, the fighting has blocked civilians’ access to vaccines, in other cases, the few vaccines available for distribution were confiscated and are now sold in the markets.
