Christians in Port Sudan pray for peace
10 January 2024
While challenging given the current circumstances in Sudan, members of the Christian community –many displaced from other areas of the country– managed to celebrate the Christmas holidays in Port Sudan.
“This year, the holidays came in very tough circumstances,” says Elia Musa, the Church Youth President at the Evangelical Church in Port Sudan. “Sudan is bleeding and we are in a state of grief. But we are also joyful [in the holidays] – following our lord Jesus’ advice. That is why we hope, in the name of God, that we will see a different year; filled with peace and assurances.”
