No Eid for the displaced: IDPs in Tawila

Repeatedly looted and uprooted by the Rapid Support Forces, those displaced from El Fasher and the surrounding camps can find no reason to celebrate Eid this year.

The humanitarian situation in North Darfur has significantly deteriorated. The markets in El Fasher and surrounding camps are closed due to food shortages. Supplies were previously coming from Tawila, but the RSF now controls that route, leading to a total siege on Zamzam camp, the largest displacement camp in Sudan. Ayin Network spoke to the conflict-displaced who recently arrived to Tawila from the restive El-Fasher area.
